Default Fix hero AI when you cancel flags from a distance...

You know when you have your heroes flagged across the radar, then you want them to come forward, but instead of setting a new flag, you cancel it? And instead of the heroes running back towards you, they turn and jaunt in the other direction for a short distance? It's really getting on my nerves.

inb4 "just set a new flag then"
It's the principle of the issue.

no it is even worse than that. Sometimes they even run away from the compass range and do not come back till you come in the radar range to them. I would love to have this fixed.

/signed. I always flag my hero all the way back just to be safe when 600/smiting and I always lose the bonds from the hero because it runs away.

I can't even begin to mention the amount of times this has caught me out when 600/smiting.

/signed, but nothing will be done to fix this. They're not going to put the resources into fixing gw1 now, especially something so screwed up as hero/hench ai.

/signed.....lost olias for the duration of a mission once since he decided to go back to .....no idea where but we searched for him for a very long time (too bad he couldnt ping his locale!).....
all they need to do is have them follow you instead of returning to ....where ever (they supposedly follow the footsteps back to the beginning and then follow them to where ever you are , yeah right).

After taking off the flag, I have had a hero run in the opposite direction from me and out of range. I lose all my enchantments, and because they are running to who knows where, sometimes run into a mob and kill themselves. So my bonder is dead and I have no enchantments....

Yes, this is mostly an issue with 600/smiting which is what prompted me to petition it, as I 600/smite a lot. It would be great to see this fixed.

happens to me a fair bit when 600ing, i just fix it by putting a new flag by me and then cancelling it, but like you say it's annoying
as far as i can make out they go back to the place where you were when you flagged them (if they weren't already next to you when you flagged them) and then follow you.
